You’ve been through the interviews. You’ve met all the key players. You’ve made it to the other side with an offer in hand (or, rather, in email). Now what?

When you start a new job, it’s easy to understand the pay—and it can be even easier to let the pay carry the weight of the “package.” But there’s so much more to an offer; well-rounded benefits go beyond pay and vacation days.

Our point is: benefits are deeply personal. And it’s our responsibility as an employer to offer inclusive services as part of our benefits package.

“Listening, understanding, and appreciating differences has been our key to offering a competitive and meaningful benefits program for our colleagues,” said Stacey Roberson, our HR vice president for Global Benefits.

What do meaningful benefits look like to us? Our benefits vary across the world, but let’s break down what we offer in the United States.

Supporting Every Type of Family

Whether you’re a new parent; someone looking for fertility support; or planning for a family further down the road, we have comprehensive benefits to support growing families, no matter what they look like. They include:

  • Generous paid time off for all mothers, fathers, partners, and adoptive and foster parents when welcoming a new child to your family

  • Personalized fertility support through our partnership with Progyny

  • Financial support for adoption and surrogacy expenses

Embracing Employees’ Changing Needs

You can’t always plan for everything that comes your way. That’s why it’s important to have the support you need to navigate life’s twists and turns—whether they impact your health or the health and well-being of a loved one. Some of the tangible ways we offer support include:

  • Paid time off to care for a sick partner or spouse, child or anyone you consider family

  • Through our partnership with Included Health, a dedicated care coordinator will help you find access to LGBTQ+ affirming clinicians and therapists in your community, offer personalized assistance for understanding your insurance coverage for prescriptions and gender-affirming care, and provide other resources for support

Always in Search of More Ways to Support

This isn’t exhaustive of our benefits. Our goal is to continue discovering resources that can offer support for our diverse community of employees.

“We’re constantly challenging ourselves to ensure we’re there for our colleagues in those moments that matter, through benefits and services that welcome all,” Roberson said. “In caring for our colleagues, we power our purpose to bring life-changing medicines to those who need them.”
