Shailendra Rathi, Director – CMO and COO of Alliances, Eli Lilly and Company was appointed to his current role in July 2022.

Shailendra joined Lilly in 2012 as a Corporate Management Trainee. During his tenure at Lilly, he has had cross-functional experiences in Sales, Marketing, Corporate Strategy, Sales Leadership, Sales Force Capability, Business Development and Managing Alliance Partners. He has done two international assignments one in Indianapolis, USA (based at Lilly global HQ) as Regional Commercialization Leader for Emerging Markets BU and another in South Africa as Sales Force Capability consultant. Currently, as the CMO and COO of Alliances (India Sub-continent, Africa and ASEAN) his key objective is to expand reach of Lilly medicines (along with new product launches) to more doctors and patients.

Shailendra holds a B. Tech degree from Mumbai University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management (Arizona, USA) along with an exchange program from Peking University (Beijing, China).
