Supplier Diversity Development (SDD) recognized that it is becoming increasingly difficult for diverse small businesses to contract with Corporate America. To address this, we created a Mentor / Protégé program. Through the program we develop opportunities for some of our emerging diverse-owned businesses to work closely with larger suppliers of Lilly.
Principals from the diverse businesses work closely with principals from larger lead suppliers to better understand and develop skills to support a global pharmaceutical company. This initiative has enabled companies to compete in broader arenas where they might not have been able to otherwise.
